Magnitude 3.8 earthquake rocks Tulunan

A magnitude 3.8 earthquake hit Tulunan, Cotabato on Sunday, Oct. 17.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said that the earthquake happened at around 6;15AM, and its epicenter was at 23 kilometers north-east of Tulunan.

PHIVOLCS added that the earthquake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 14 kilometers.

The agency recorded the following intensities:

Intensity IV – Kidapawan City

Instrumental Intensity:
Intensity III – Kidapawan City

PHIVOLCS expects that the earthquake did not cause any damage to infrastructure and will not result to any aftershocks.
