Drivers of tractors, pedicabs, and bicycles are also prohibited from using cellphones and other mobile devices while driving.
This was clarified by Land Transportation Office-National Capital Regional Director Clarence Guinto.
Guinto said that the said vehicles can be impounded, if their drivers were caught violating the Anti-Distracted Driving Law.
Meanwhile, vehicles pulled by animals are prohibited from travelling the national highway and the primary roads of the provinces
“Covered din nito yung kuliglig, mga tumatakbo ng hayop. They are covered by this law. For example, may nag-violate na isang farmer siya, pagkatapos may dala siyang kuliglig, wala siyang lisensya. Ang kaparusahan ay impounding.” Guinto said regading calesas ang kuligligs.
Guinto also said that the Congress could amend the provision of ADDA preventing drivers from using their cellphones while their vehicles are stopped by the red light.
