The Land Transportation Office responded to the challenge of House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez regarding the stalled release of license plates.

Alvarez has previously asked LTO Chief Edgar Galvante to resign since he seemingly cannot accomplish his duty.

LTO explained that the project for the Php 1 billion worth of plates was awarded to the winning bidder Trojan Computer Forms Manufacturing Corporation, and J.H. Tonnjes E.A.S.T GmbH & Co. KG Joint Venture last December 1.

Based on the statement released by LTO, the government expects to receive an initial delivery of license plates from the private contractor on March 2018.

The LTO insisted that Asec. Galvante remains on top of the situation even with the issue that the release vehicle plates is not moving forward.
