Rains spawned by the low pressure area will damp Metro Manila and other parts of the Philippines on Friday, the state weather bureau said.
In its weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the LPA was last observed 110 kilometers south of Coron in Palawan.
Pagasa said Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Central Luzon, Cagayan Valley, Visayas and Northern Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.
The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rains or thunderstorms.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the southeast to northeast, meanwhile, will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the southwest to southeast over Mindanao.
The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
