The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) revealed on Wednesday the first four scripts that have been chosen as official entries for this year’s festival.
In a press conference, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and MMFF chairman Danilo Lim announced the films whose scripts made it to the cut:
- “Mission Unstoppable” starring Vic Sotto and Maine Mendoza
- “Momalland” starring Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis
- “Kampon” starring Kris Aquino and Derek Ramsay
- “Miracle in Cell No. 7” starring Aga Muhlach and Nadine Lustre
Meanwhile, the four other entries have yet to be announced.
Usually held in December, the MMFF is meant to promote local films all throughout its run. Last year’s MMFF set a new box office record at Php 1.060 billion, owing largely to the success of movies starring Vice Ganda and Coco Martin.
