‘Karen’ leaves Php2.141 million of damages

Central Luzon is left with more than Php2.141 million worth of damages after typhoon ‘Karen’ exits the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Monday.

Region 3 Disaster Management and Coordinating Council confirmed the said amount after its assessment on the damages caused by the typhoon in the said region.

With the Php2.141 million worth of damages, crops from Aurora, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija and Tarlac were wiped out.

More than 80,458 individuals or 17,157 families were affected in 250 barangays in Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales.

There were 491 houses destroyed by the typhoon while 3,373 houses were partially damaged in Auror and Tarlac.

There are 39 barangays that are currently under flood water in Bulacan, Pampanga, and Nueva Ecija.

Meanwhile, eight mountaineers and four local tour guides were rescued already in Mount Mingan, Bgry. Dabildabilan, Dingalan, Aurora on Sunday.
