The Kabataan Partylist expressed its disappointment on the decision of the Supreme Court on their petition against the “No Bio, No Boto” policy of the Commission on Elections.

The Supreme Court En Banc junked the petition of the Kabataan Partylist against the “No Bio, No Boto” wherein voters without biometrics even though they are already registered, will not be allowed to vote.

According to Kabataan Partylist Rep. Terry Ridon, they will file a “motion for reconsideration” to make an appeal that the names of the 2.5 million voters will not be removed from the voters’ list in 2016 just because they have no biometrics.

Prior to this, the said Partylist filed a petition last November, questioning the COMELEC’s “No Bio, No Boto” policy.  The Supreme Court then issued a Temporary Restraining Order on the said matter.

However, the highest court withdrew the TRO, junking the petition of the Kabataan Partylist.  (with DZRH Aly Narvaez)
