In the heat of President Rodrigo Duterte’s ‘stepping down from post’ statement, he also revealed that there is a ‘dictator in the making’ in the city of Davao.
“There’s another dictator in the offing, but she has a Duterte surname,” Duterte said
The chief executive refers to his daughter, Mayor Sara Carpio-Duterte, who’ve been suspected of initiating the expulsion of House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez from the post on the day of the State of the Nation Address. She was also allegedly responsible in urging the congressmen to vote on former President and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as the new Speaker for the House of Representatives.
The president also noted that the local government units under Inday Sara’s leadership are strictly implementing several ordinance and laws in the city to further demonstrate how disciplined people of Davao are.
Duterte’s statement came after his critics slammed him in aspiring to extend his term in 2022.
“And for those who are dreaming that I will extend my term and be a dictator, you must be the lowest idiot in this country. Even to suggest that I have a plan. I am a lawyer and I said, were it not for the fact that I do not believe in the competence of the Vice President, I’m ready to go anytime,” the president himself strongly said.
