The Sandiganbayan declares that the jewelry collection of former First Lady Imelda Marcos is ill-gotten wealth.
In line with this, the said Anti-graft court has ordered the confiscation of all of Mrs. Marcos’ jewelries.
The Sandiganbayan-Special Division favored the forfeiture case filed by the Presidential Commissioner on Good Governance on December 17, 1991.
In a 33-page decision, all of Ilocos Norte Representative Marcos’ jewelries are ill-gotten and belong to the government.
According to the Sandiganbayan, Mrs. Marcos failed to prove she legally acquired the jewelries in questioned.
The jewelries are amounting between 100-150 Thousand US dollars.
