Hotshots expect tough battle in Game-2 after routing the Aces

The Magnolia Hotshots cannot afford to relax even after dominating the Alaska Aces, 100-84, during Game 1 of the 2018 PBA Governor’s Cup Best of Seven Finals series on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

During the post-game press conference, Hotshots coach Chito Victolero stressed that the team cannot afford to relax since he expects to have a though battle against the Aces in the next game.

Hindi dapat mag-relax, kailangan namin i-push pa kasi it is a best-of-seven at isa pa lang yung nakukuha namin,” Victolero told reporters..

Every game is a brand new game. I expect another though battle. We just try to have that ready mentality, and physically,” Victolero added.

During Game-1, Romeo Travis provided 29 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Hotshots. Andy Barocca also added 16 and Paul Lee scored 14 points for Magnolia.

Meanwhile, Mike Harris finished with 20 points and 15 rebounds for the Aces who attempted to recover after trailing behind by 15 points, 0-15, during the first minutes of the game.

Chris Banchero registered 12 points and Jeron Teng added 10 points for Alaska as they are expected to attempt to tie the series on Game – 2 happening tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 07, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.
