Heavy traffic flow expected in areas in QC as MRT-7 construction starts

Heavy traffic gridlock is expected in some areas in Quezon City by the time the construction of Metro Rail Transit (MRT)-7 starts on Tuesday.

In an advisory released by MTR-7 Project Traffic Management task Force, two lanes in Commonwealth Avenue between University Ave and Central Ave will be closed.

The construction is part of the Phase 1 of the project for the guide way for Station-3 or University Avenue Station of MRT-7

Meanwhile, the project is expected to take up to April 2018.

Next week, construction of MRT Station-7 in Manggahan Area will start where one lane in the southbound will be affected and two lanes in the northbound of Commonwealth Ave.
