The American rock band Green Day is coming to Manila next year!
In an announcement, the band formed in 1986 composed of lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool will make a stop in Manila on March 14, 2020, at the Mall of Asia Arena as part of their promotions for their 13th album entitled “Father Of All Mother****ers.”
Tickets for the said concert have yet to be announced.
Green Day is also making a stop in some parts of Asia such as Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea before it heads to Europe and North America, as part of its #HellaMegaTour with US rock bands Fall Out Boy, Weezer, and The Interrupters.
The all-male group first rose to fame in the 90s and has been tagged as one of the bands who mainstreamed punk rock in popular music. Their two albums, Dookie and American Idiot, are part of Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
