Gilas Pilipinas Guard Ray Parks is once again given the chance to prove his worth in the NBA D-League after he was picked by the Westchesters Knick on Sunday in the 2016 NBA D-League Draft.
Parks was the last NBA aspirant chosen among the hundred of hopefuls.
Parks once played in the 2015 PBA D-League under Texas Legends where he averaged 4.6 pints and 1.9 rebounds per game.
He played 30 games for the Texas Legends but the Legends did not take him for the 2016 NBA D-League.
Parks last played for the Philippines during FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
Meanwhile, Star Hotshots Point Guard Mark Barocca motivated fellow Zamboangueno Gino Jumao to keep chasing his dream to join the PBA.
According to Jumao, Barocca approached him after the 2016 PBA Draft and told him of his belief that Jumao can join the PBA.
Jumao further declared that he didn’t lose hope that he will join the PBA, and that he is planning to become a ‘free agent’.
Jumao is one of the 15 PBA aspirants who weren’t chosen by any of the 12 PBA teams during Sunday’s draft at Robinson’s Place Manila.
