Multiple trucks was needed to collect the garbage that was left inside the Manila North Cemetery, a day after the observation of UNDAS 2016.
According to Daniel Tan, administrator of the Manila North Cemetery, more than 12 trucks filled with garbage was collected by his team when they started cleaning the area on Wednesday morning.
Tan added that they are not yet finish with cleaning because millions of people were at the cemetery over the long weekend and it will take a couple of days for them to clear everything out.
Last 2015, more than 20 trucks of garbage was collected that time.
Sr. Insp. Ana Lawrence Simbajon, PIO of the Manila Police District Station 3 said that a lot of people are still going to the cemetery to visit their dearly departed.
