Former traffic enforcers arrested for extortion

Four former traffic enforcers who tried to extort money to San Juan City chief prosecutor Thomas Ricaldy’s daughter were arrested.

In a press conference earlier, Quezon City Police Department director Sr. Supt. Richard Albano identified the enforcers as Bernard Medina, Eduardo Celeteria, Raymund Liwag and Eduardo Joves, who are former personnel of the the QC department of public order and safety.

According to Albano, the suspects asked money from Ricaldy’s daughter, Dorothy, after she was caught at a u-turn slot of C-5 road in Libis QC recently.

Albano mentioned that the four were not connected to the Quezon City Hall and that their tickets were expired.

The four are facing robbery extortion and usurpation of authority.
