Filipino cuemaster Carlo Biado ruled the Jogja Open 10-Ball International Billards Tournament 2018 in Indonesia after beating fellow Filipino player Jundel Mazon.
Prior to his match-up against Mazon in the finals, Biado also defeated Ricky Yang of Indonesia, 11-5, in the semi-finals.
Other than a trophy, Biado also won the $12,000 cash prize, while Mazon received $6,000 for finishing first runner-up in the tournament that was participated by 128 pool masters from 10 different countries.
Meanwhile, Filipino Husley Jusayan, who lost to Mazon in the quarterfinals, grabbed third place and won $2,000.
Prior the tournament in Indonesia, Biado was also declared champion in the 2017 World 9-Ball Championship last December in Doha, Qatar.
Biado was also feted by the Philippine Sportswriter Association as Athlete of the Year for 2017 alongside IBF Junior Bantamweight champion Jerwin Ancajas and 2017 QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup Champion Krizziah Tabora.
