Filipino Kevin Belingon Challenges Brazil’s Bibiano Fernandes For ONE Bantamweight World Title in China

ONE WUJIE: DYNASTY OF CHAMPIONS is set for the Changsha Stadium on January 23rd and will be headlined by a bantamweight world title match that pits the reigning champion and one of the best pound for pound fighters in the sport Bibiano Fernandes against exciting challenger Kevin Belingon.

Fernandes is a decorated BJJ black belt and one of the most dominant title holders in ONE Championship history. The Brazilian is a former two division Dream champion who has amassed a stellar professional record of 18-3 and hasn’t lost a bout in the last five years.

Belingon fights out of Team Lakay and is a Wushu specialist who is known for his speed and stamina. He is 13-4 and earned the a shot at the belt with a hard fought decision win over former title challenger Koetsu Okazaki, the Filipino also holds victories over Yusup Saadulaev and David Aranda Santacana.

Two of the top bantamweights on the ONE Championship roster will also be in action on January 23rd when Toni Tauru takes on Muin Gafurov. Tauru holds the CWFC bantamweight title and is 10-2-1 but will be in with one of the most exciting prospects in the division when he takes on 9-0 Tajik teenager Muin Gafurov.

There will also be an eagerly anticipated matchup in the flyweight division when former bantamweight world title challenger Asuka Mikami puts his 12-3-2 record on the line against Roy Doliguez. The 6-2 Filipino is a former strawweight world title challenger who will be moving up a division to take on the flamboyant Japanese star.

The card will also feature a battle between two of China’s top featherweights as Beijng Featherweight Tournament 2 winner Yang Sen looks to improve on his undefeated 2-0 record against Beijng Featherweight Tournament 1 winner and striking sensation Li Kai Wen who is 4-2.
