DZRH continues to help and deliver news by rebuilding its DYVL station in Tacloban City, one of the ravaged areas by typhoon Yolanda (international name: Haiyan) last November 8.
“As part of transition to normalcy, tinatayo natin ang DYVL, Voice of Leyte,” said DZRH station manager Atty. Rejie Jularbal in its special coverage of the situation in Tacloban City.
DZRH is the only AM station broadcasting in the area and to fortify its signal, the station has delivered some 300 transmitters in Tacloban City.
And to live up to its ‘Operation Tulong’ billing, DZRH is also helping survivors reach their loved ones in different parts of the country by making their ‘panawagan.’
In the aftermath of Yolanda, the death toll has now reached 4,000 while survivors are still finding ways to recuperate from the devastation. Many are still missing.
Houses were also devastated after being hit by the strongest typhoon in history to make landfall.
