Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte snagged the top spot from Senator Grace Poe in the third and last pre-election survey “Desisyon 2016” conducted by the Manila Broadcasting Company, under its flagship station, DZRH.
Based on the result of the said survey, Mayor Duterte is at the top spot with 36 percent, followed by Senator Grace Poe with 28.2 percent. Coming in at third place is Vice President Jejomar Binay with 15.3 percent, and former Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas with 15.2 percent. Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago came in last with 3.5 percent. Former Partylist Rep. Roy Seneres got 0.2 percent.
Meanwhile, Senator Bongbong Marcos Jr. has already overtaken Senator Francis Escudero in the said survey with 29.8 percent while Senator Escudero settled in at second place with 22.6 percent. Senator Alan Peter Cayetano is at third spot with 18.4 percent, Cong. Leni Robredo at fourth place with 17.8 percent, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV with 5.5 and Senator Gringo Honasan with 4.3 percent.
In the Senatorial race, veteran Senators continue to reign as Senator Vicente Sotto remained on top with 52.8 percent, former Rehab Czar Panfilo Lacson with 51.4 percent, Miguel Zubiri with 49.1 percent, Senate President Franklin Drilon-44.6 percent, Sen. Ralph Recto-44.4 percent, former Senator Francis Pangilinan-40.7 percent, former Justice Secretary Leila De Lima-37.4 percent, Rep. Manny Pacquiao- 35.7 percent, former Rep. Risa Hontiveros-35.4 percent, Joel Villanueva-34.7 percent, Dick Gordon-33.8 percent, Sherwin Gatchalian-31.7 percent, Sergio Osmena III-30.7 percent, and Sen. TG Guingona-23.1 percent.
“Desisyon 2016” third wave survey was conducted last April 2, 2016 covering all provinces with 7,490 respondents and a margin of error of 1.13. Face to face interviews were conducted with randomly chosen respondents who were asked to accomplish a sample ballot. Questions pertaining to the the survey can be referred to Atty.
