The Department of Tourism posted at least 180 establishments have complied with the requirements set by a task force headed by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). The said requirements mean that the wastewater treatment plants, sewerage, and drainage systems and solid wastes disposals are up to DENR standards.

Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat addressed that there will be no more “Laboracay” parties. They will also prohibit smoking and drinking around the vicinity of Boracay in order to fully implement an environment-friendly community.

The dry run will end on Oct. 25.
