Dry run for the ASEAN Summit causes heavy traffic in major roads in the Metro


There was traffic in some major roads in Metro Manila on Monday amid the dry-run conducted by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority for the South East Asian Nations Summit this coming November.

The dry-run convoy’s started at 10:00AM from Clark Pampanga and made it up to the Philippine International Convention Center, at the  Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Complex, Pasay City.

The dry run caused problems for motorists even if the MMDA implemented a ‘Stop and Go Traffic Movement’ at affected streets in Metro Manila.

Heavy traffic were seen at the Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA), from Balintawak up to Magallanes; and Diokno Boulevard, from Entertainment City up to Amazing Show.

Also affected were Pasay Road, from EDSA up to Skyway; Roxas Boulevard from Buendia up to P. Burgos; and the area around the CCP Complex.
