Formosa Dreamers extended their winning streak in the 2019 ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) to seven games after defeating Alab Pilipinas, 79-71, on Sunday, March 10, at Changhua County Stadium in Changhua City, Taiwan.
Tevin Glass registered 27 points and 12 rebounds as the Taiwanese team seized their 17th win out of 23 games.
Malcolm Miller also registered 18 points and 12 rebounds while William Artino contributed 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Dreamers to remain undefeated against Alab in this season.
The Philippine squad still held a five-point advantage, 59-64, over the Dreamers in the start of the fourth quarter.
However, back-to-back three pointers from Miller and a lay-up from Artino allowed the home team to steal the lead, 71-66, from Alab with at least six minutes left in the game.
A three-point shot from ABL Reigning Local Most Valuable Player Bobby Ray Parks Jr. brought the Philippine team to as close as two points, 73-71, before Glass started a six-point run for the home team to secure the win.
Parks finished with 27 points, and Ethan Alvano scored 14 points as Alab dropped to an 18-5 win-loss record but remains the top-seeded team in this season.
Import PJ Ramos, meanwhile, contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds for the visiting team who missed the services of Renaldo Balkman due to a concussion.
