The Department of Transportation promised that there won’t be an increase in toll fee rates during the Holy Week season, even if many motorists are expected to go home to their provinces.
According to DOTr Public Information Officer Goddess Hope Libiran, Albert Suansing, spokesperson of the Toll Regulatory Board, said that there will be no price movements in the toll fee this Holy Week.
Meanwhile, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board gave special permits to 1,100 provincial buses, due to expected flood of passengers going home to their provinces.
The Philippine Coast Guard will also strengthen the guarding the ports of the Philippines.
April 13-14 are declared as national holidays in celebration of Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday.
