Asst. Sec. Elvira Medina of the Department of Transportation was quick to defend their agency amid the recent attack against their “Kontra bulok, kontra usok” campaign.
Commuters have been finding it difficult in recent days because of the lack of passenger jeepneys that can accommodate them. Drivers refuse to go out as they are afraid that they might be caught and their vehicles be sequestered.
Some critics claim that the DOTr should not implement such program if they don’t have any alternative solution for it.
However, Medina insisted that the DOTr already laid out assistance for commuters and that the government will find a way to provide transport to commuters.
