The Department of Transportation is once again asking for more patience and understanding to commuters in areas affected by the placing of the Manila Metro Rail Transit system-7 line.
The message came from Transportation Undersecretary Cesar Chavez.
Chavez appealed to commuters to exhaust more patience since traffic will be extra slow during the start of the MRT-7.
According to Usec. Chavez, this is a temporary sacrifice since the government plans to finish the project before 2019.
“Yung ating MRT-7 matatapos iyan 2019 o sa unang quarter ng 2020. Iyan ang ating plano. So mga ilang taon na lang magiging operational na iyan. Ang ineexpect natin na magiging pasahero diyan from 150 to 600 thousand everyday.”
