DOLE orders OWWA to hasten assistance on OFW families

DOLE wants OWWA to hurry with its relief operations

The Department of Labor and Employment has asked the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration to hasten its help on the families of the OFW who were affected by the quake in Bohol and Cebu.

According to Labor Sec. Rosalinda Baldoz, more than 15 thousand families that are members of OWWA are now in dire need of help after the 7.2 magnitude earthquake.

Because of this, the said agency will be giving financial assistance, food and other necessities.

Also, DOLE is preparing for a massive job fair for the victims to be able to find jobs.

Aside from this, there’s a planned psycho-social counseling for the victims of the quake.
