Summer season is about to start. Filipinos are fond of buying ‘halo-halo.’
Halo-Halo is famous during summer season in the Philippines.
In line with this, the Department of Health (DOH) warned the public to be cautious in buying the mentioned refreshment in the streets.
DOH Sec. Paulyn Ubial, said the public should be aware of the water and ice being used in halo-halo are clean.
Ubial added that the halo-halo may be contaminated if not prepared properly.
The ice use in Halo-halo may possibly bring bacteria like salmonella and amoeba that would cause food poisoning, vomiting and diarrhea.
