The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) will be releasing a new design for the Philippine passport. This came after the passport’s validity was extended from its current five years to 10 years.
The DFA has guaranteed that its enhancement will also strengthen security features against ‘fraud and forgery.’
According to the DFA, the Philippine passport’s new look will be released to the public next year, 2018.
The DFA is currently working on it’s ‘implementing rules and regulation’ to tie up loose ends.
Meanwhile, passport validity for minors remain at a five year period.
