Passport applicants with scheduled appointment on Monday, October 16, were advised by the Department of Foreign Affairs for a reschedule amid the two-day transport strike in Metro Manila.
In line with Malacanang’s declaration of no work in all government offices on Monday, passport applicants at the DFA offices in Aseana, Macapagal Avenue were asked to return for another day.
According to DFA Spokesman Assist. Sec. Robespierre Bolivar, because the DFA office or the Consular Affairs and the OCA-Aseana, and all consular offices in the country are closed because of the nationwide transport strike, all confirmed appointments were asked to go back any day until October 30, 2017.
The DFA Aseana in Paranaque City is open from Monday to Friday while DFA Consular Offices inside the malls are open until Saturday.
Bolivar said that applicants should bring the printout of their confirmed passport appointments including the other requirements for their passport applicants.
