A daughter of an Overseas Filipino Worker is making an appeal that her mother be allowed to go home following the death of two of their family members.
Odessa Pansoy reported that her brother Lionel Pansoy and grandmother Felisa Bacus passed away last January, and they hope that their mother Perla Pansoy, an OFW in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will be able to go home for the wake in Davao.
However, Odessa claims that her mother’s employers are refusing to allow her to go home in fear that she will no longer return to them.
Odessa explained that the Philippine Overseas Labor Office and the Philippine Embassy have already visited the employers of Perla but they refused to cooperate or face the authorities.
Odessa said during DZRH’s One On One.
Odessa further added that POLO has already coordinated with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of Saudi Arabia in order to get hold of the employers of Perla.
Odessa further added.
Meanwhile, Odessa said that the last time she spoke with her mother, she was in grief and wishes that she may come home to witness the burial of her son and mother.
Odessa said.
Lionel and Felisa’s wake is on the 16th day already, but they continue to wait for Perla.
Odessa revealed.
