Congress has approved the anti-texting while driving Bill, or the proposed bill prohibiting individuals from texting while behind the wheels.

The said news was confirmed to DZRH by Rep. Lito Atienza, one of the principal authors of the said bill.

According to Atienza, the bill prohibits anyone from the driver’s seat from texting, calling, and or receiving calls while the vehicle is in motion.

Only the signature of outgoing President Benigno Aquino III is missing for the said bill to become a law.

Atienza insisted that it is time for the Philippines to have a law that will ensure the safety and avoid any accidents on the road wherein it involves people using their cellphones while driving.
