The Commission on Elections will try to finish its official count on all votes for the senatorial and partylist posts in the 2019 midterm elections by the end of the week.
73 from the 167 certificates of canvass have already been counted by the COMELEC, which serves as the National Board of Canvassers at the Philippine International Convention Center for the senatorial and partylist groups’ race.
Based on the partial official canvass report of the COMELEC from Thursday morning’s 73 COCs, Sen. Nancy Villar still leads the senatorial race with more than 10.4 million votes; coming in second is sen. Grace Poe with nine million votes; third is former special assistant to the president Christopher Go with 8.5 million votes.
Completing the magic 12 are:
- Pia Cayetano 4 million votes
- Bato Dela Rosa 8 million votes
- Sonny Angara 6 million votes
- Imee Marcos 7 million votes
- Francis Tolentino 5 million votes
- Lito Lapid 6 million votes
- Koko Pimentel 6,220,434 votes
- JV Ejercito 6,079,028 votes
- Nancy Binay 5,949,885 votes
Meanwhile, former Presidential Communications Operations Office Assistant Sec. Mocha Uson uploaded a video on her Facebook page Wednesday night.
Based on the video, Uson thanked all those who voted, trusted and gave their solid support to AA Kasosyo Partylist amid it not even make it to the top tier of the partylist race.
According to Uson, she expressed her gratitude to the OFWs and ordinary Filipino, “sa lahat ng nagtiwala, bumoto, sumuporta nang solid at todo.”
Uson said that she will continue with her fight, love for the country and be the voice of ordinary Filipinos even without winning a seat in Congress.
The former PCOO official’s partylist is at 73rd spot with 0.43 percent votes.
