The Commission on Elections already started its preparations for the 2019 midterm elections.
In fact, COMELEC Spokesman James Jimenez said that preparations are being done early so that they will be able to identify any problems or glitches soon, and will be able to resolve them immediately.
The COMELEC is also contemplating on having a voter’s registration so that a lot of qualified voters can exercise their rights to suffrage.
Overseas registration for Overseas Filipino Workers is on-going wherein more than 1.6 million are expected for the absentee voting.
Jimenez is hopeful that the midterm elections will be peaceful and orderly, just like the recent Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.
