The Commission on Human Rights will investigate the viral video of a baby left inside a vehicle outside Metrowalk in Pasig City.
According to the CHR, moto proprio or, even without receiving a formal complaint, they will voluntarily investigate what happened and who should be held liable for the incident.
In the said viral video, a baby, estimated to be two to three years old, was seen crying when he was locked inside a silver Toyota Fortuner, with plate number WMI 661.
Jasper Pascual, the netizen who posted the video, threatened to break the window of the car since he is afraid that the baby is suffocating because the air conditioning of the vehicle is turned off.
Pascual also sought the help of a security guard to look for the parents of the baby, who according to the netizen, were upset that they were called.
Meanwhile, the parents explained they were eating in a restaurant when they left the baby inside their car, and they left a small opening in the window of the vehicle.
Meanwhile, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) are also investigating the case, who could possibly be charged with negligence.
