Chess Grandmaster So takes master title in latest tournament

A born-Filipino Chess player Wesley grabbed the Masters Title of the Tata Steel Chess Tournament held in Wijk aan Zee, the Neterlands.

Fil-Am Grandmaster So, who was born at Bacoor, Cavite, defeated Russian Grandmaster Ian Nepominiachtchi to grab his 3rd straight tournament victory.

The No.4 in the world-standing remains undefeated in his last 56 games.

Meanwhile, the current World Chess Champion Norwegian Grand Master Sven Magnus Carlsen fell into 2nd place after being tied with Russian Grandmaster Serjey Karjakin.
