The Department of Justice saw probable cause against former PBA player Dorian Peña who was arrested last May 10 due to using illegal drugs.
Peña was caught along with Jose Paolo Ampeso and Ledy Mea Vilchez during a buy-bust operation at a condominium unit in Merryland Village, Mandaluyong City.
Two plastic sachets of Shabu, pieces of drug paraphernalia, and a weighing scale were seized from Peña’s group.
The suspects also tested positive of drugs when examined by the National Bureau of Investigation.
Due to this, Peña is charged with violating Section 15 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. The DOJ are still studying what cases can be filed against the former basketball player for turning the condominium into a drug den.
Based on the resolution last May 12, Ampeso and Vilches asked for the preliminary investigation of the incident.
