The Bureau of Customs confiscated Php110 million worth of fake shoes, clothes and sandals.
According to Atty. Vincent Maronilla, district collector of the Manila International Port, the fake goods were discovered inside the more than 20 containers, and were declared as ready to wear items.
Based on the initial report, the said shipment was blocked because of intellectual property rights.
The alleged point of origin of the said shipment was China and Hongkong.
Meanwhile, it is possible that the confiscated items will be donated to families affected by the crisis in Marawi City.
