BLACKPINK sets to perform in Manila in 2019

BLINKS, get your wallets ready as BLACKPINK will set foot in Manila for their IN YOUR AREA World Tour in 2019!

On Thursday, South Korean label YG Entertainment announced on their social media accounts the list of the group’s stops for their 2019 Asian Tour which, luckily, includes Manila.

The Manila leg tour is set to take place on February 2, 2019, at the Mall of Asia Arena. Aside from Manila, BLACKPINK’s Jennie, Rose, Jisoo, and Lisa will also conquer the stages of Bangkok, Jakarta, Hongkong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, and other countries in 2019.

Other details such as ticket prices are still yet to be announced so BLINKS, stay tuned!

BLACKPINK, formed by YG Entertainment in 2016, is the girl group behind the hits songs “Boombayah,” “As If It’s Your Last,” and “Ddu du Ddu du.” Recently, they also released their collaboration song with English singer Dua Lipa in “Kiss and Make Up.”

There is more to expect from these four ladies as recently they officially signed a contract with the US label Interscope Records. In a press statement, YG said that with their market and strength in Asia, a collaboration with Universal Music Group will give BLACKPINK a “diverse array of global projects in the future.”

Interscope Records in under UMG.  It houses some of the famous names in the music world, including Madonna, The Black Eyed Peas, Lana Del Rey, Selena Gomez, Ellie Goulding, and U2 to name a few.

Aside from their group schedule, Jennie is also expected to release her first solo debut on November 12.

It was earlier confirmed by YG Ent’s Yang Hyun Suk that they are “simultaneously working on new BLACKPINK songs as well as solo projects for all four members at the moment. Jennie is the first member to make her solo debut.”

BLACKPINK has been currently preparing for their first solo concert in Korea, happening on Nov. 10-11 at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena, Seoul.
