BJMP assures jail facilities have enough water supply

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) assured that they have enough supply of water at their jail facilities in Metro Manila.

BJMP spokesperson C/Insp. Xavier Solda said that they have coordinated with Maynilad Water Services and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) for water supply assistance.

The BJMP also procured drums to stock water in their jail facilities.

Solda said that have anticipated a shortage in water during the summer season, which prepared them for the current water crisis experienced in portions of Metro Manila.

Fortunately, for BJMP facilities in Metro Manila, wala kaming problema sa tubig,” Solda said.

We assure the public, the families ng PDLs (Persons Deprived of Liberty) that our water supply is enough. Napaghandaan siya ng BJMP,” Solda added.

Solda stressed the importance of water in jail facilities for inmates to maintain proper hygiene and to prevent the spread of diseases.
