Real-life couple Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia finally break their silence after receiving flak from their recent pre-nuptial shoot in Ethiopia.
Some netizens criticized the couple in social media, stating that the pre-nup shoot was distasteful, especially with those having wherein they were surrounded by Ethiopian women and children.
Crawford, through his home studio, ABS-CBN, issued a statement clarifying the whole photo shoot.
According to the singer-host, the photo shoot was not exactly their pre-nup. It was a sponsored photo shoot by Ethiopian Airlines to promote their country’s tourism.
The couple added that they were also invited by their tour guide to go around the city and even suggested on how to frame their shots, and wanted to include locals.
“The photos were taken out of context.” Crawford said that it was not their intention to offend anyone.
However, Billy and Coleen still apologized for how it might have been interpreted by others and feel sorry to those that they may have offended.
Meanwhile, the couple, instead of getting irked with the backlash their wardrobe was getting in social media, even joined in on the fun. Billy, using the hashtags #deadako, #StylistIsDead, posted some of the memes netizens created in his own social media account.
