From at least 40 participating groups across the country, the much anticipated  2018 Manila Broadcasting Company’s (MBC) National Chorale Competition finally named the 13 groups who will be vying for the respective title tonight, December 8 at the Aliw Theater in Pasay City.

The battle of the best of the best stage performance and audience impact will be witnessed on the grand showdown of the best choirs nationwide.

For the Open Category, the likes of Adamson University Chorale, Coro Regina Coeli, DYCI Dagalak, Scholastica’s Academy Marikina, T.I.P. Chorale Society, The Baganihan Singers, PNU Chorale, and the South Cotabato Chorale will vie to be the champion of tonight’s event.

Some of the notable performance that can be expected tonight will be from the Coro Regina Coeli, whose name means the choir of the Queen of Heaven, who wowed the crowd after their surprising performance that started solemnly before transitioning to an extravagant presentation.

Meanwhile, the children’s division will also be expecting a worth-while performance from the four group: the Oratory Boys Chorus, Balon Dagupan Children’s Choir, Ligao National High School Children’s Chorus, and Batanes National Science High School Voices.

Despite its debut in the competition, the vocal solo performance definitely rocked the audience and will be expecting more from the semi-finalists such as  Easter Joy Parsacala,  Celger Venzon, Claudette Elline Cruz, and Mark Bryan Romualdo.
