San Miguel Beer emerged victorious on Wedneday, August 7, against the Talk N’ Text Katropa, 127-125, in Game 2 of the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals Series.  The game needed two overtimes to reach its conclusion.

The Beermen almost suffered their second straight loss after Katropa recovered from a 17-point deficit, and went up by four, 101-105, with less than a minute left in the game.

Charities from Mcculough trimmed the lead of Katropa to two, 103-105.

Don Trollano made a free throw shot for Katropa to gain a three point cushion, 103-106, but Terrence Romeo hit a three pointer to tie the score, 106-all, and bring the game to overtime.

The game clock got extended by another five minutes after Mccullough made a free throw and Alex Cabagnot scored a lay-up that tied the score 114-all.

With less than a minute left in the second overtime, free throws from June Mar Fajardo, who finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds, and a lay-up from Chris Ross brought the Beermen up by four, 126-122.

Katropa’s Jayson Castro made his fifth three pointer in the game to cut the point difference to one, 126-125, but Mccullough scored another free throw to bring San Miguel back up by two, 127-125.
