Baguio defends title in MBC National Choral Competition 2016

It was an upset that was seen from miles away.  The men and women from Baguio seemed to have their own amplifiers that their voices resonates even outside the auditorium.

With their conductor Bienvenido Constantino Jr., they sashayed their way to the stage wearing their usual native costume.

The audience were immediately blown away with the way they sang each peace.  No wonder, they were also the recipients of the Best in Show Choir.

However, even with the performance of Baguio, each of the finalists have leveled up.  Surely, the judges had their hands full.

Two teams from the province of Tarlac made their way to their finals, wherein the Tarlac Chamber Choir even snatched the second place.

Meanwhile, in the Children’s category, everybody was surprised including Boscorale themselves when they were hailed as winners.  The boys from Don Bosco Technical Institute in Makati won the hearts of the audience with their medley of pop hits like Ikaw, Bang Bang, and Rude among others.

The MBC National Choral Competition is an annual event spear-headed by the Manila Broadcasting Company, which aims to put the spotlight on the many talented choral groups in the country.
