A resident of Goa, Camarines Sur rescued a newborn who was buried alive.
According to reports, Allan Celso Jr., after following blood marks in his backyard, discovered a part of land that looked like it was recently dug and covered with soil.
Celso dug the area and found a baby girl placed inside a sack.
Celso found that some soil has already entered the nose of the infant , estimated to be eight-months old, and immediately rushed the baby to Bicol Medical Center.
Dr. Roger Atanacio of the infirmary in Goa said that the baby is in critical condition.
Authorities believe that the baby was buried by her mother, believed to be a resident of the area, who could face charges for infanticide.
