Some armed men tried to raid that DYOK-Aksyon Radyo in Iloilo City earlier today.
Based on the CCTV footage of the San Carlos Building where the studio of the radio station is located, more than 20 armed men came down from 10 vehicles.
However, according to the report of May Ortega, announcer of DYOK, the CCTV footage showed that they failed to penetrate the gate of the building.
Because of this, the suspects took the CCTV camera from the said building.
The management of the station believes that the armed group came from the drug syndicate that the station often criticize in their programs.
No employees from Aksyon Radyo was hurt from the failed raid, even though some of them were on-duty around that time.
Some two years ago, members of the special weapons and tactics or SWAT trooped to the station and asked its employees to take off their clothes and kicked their guards.
The DYOK is now back to its normal operations. (with DZRH Cyrille Cupino)
