The home team widened the score gap to 18, 69-51, but the visiting team trimmed it to 77-70 with less than one minute left in the game
However, from there on, the Philippine team maintained their lead until the final seconds of the game, allowing them to grab the victory and the first slot in the 2018 ABL Finals.
Currently, the Philippine team awaits the victor of the semifinals series between Mono Vampires and Chong Son Kung Fu for their enemy in the Finals.
This is the fifth time a Philippine team has entered the Finals of the ABL.
In 2013, Asi Taulava and June Mar Fajardo led the previous Philippine basketball squad that made it to the ABL Finals series and won the tournament’s crown.
