Abra – PNP continues investigation on killing of village councilor


The Abra – Philippine National Police is still investigating the motive on the shooting incident at Sitio Banay, Brgy. Monggoc, Pidigan, Abra that led to the death of a village councilor.

PC/Supt. Edward Carranza, director of Cordillera – PNP, identified the victim of the shooting incident on April 15 as councilor Victor Dela Cruz Pisco.

The incident also injured village captain Elida Sales, the wife of Victor, and Myrna Pisco, the sister of the slain councilor.

Based on initial reports, the victims were inside a blue elf truck traversing the Pidigan – Pilar Provincial Road going to Brgy. Immuli, Pidigan.

The victims were then overtaken by the suspects riding a motorcycle, who fired bullets at them before escaping to the direction of San Isidro – Villaviciosa.

All the victims were rushed to a hospital, but the village councilor passed away while in transit.

Two empty bullet shells of a Caliber. 45 pistol were recovered from the crime scene.
