Police on Tuesday seized around 42 kilograms of shabu from four persons, including two Chinese nationals, in two separate buy-bust operations in Pasay City.
Arrested were foreigners Shengli Cai and Ann Liu and Filipinos Dante Pelena and Walt Navarro.
Sr. Supt. Joel Doria, chief of Pasay City police said elements of Southern Police District-District Anti-Illegal Drugs/District Special Operations Unit (SPD-DAID/DSOU) nabbed Cai at around 10:15 a.m. in a parking lot in Blue Bay Walk, Macapagal Avenue.
Police confiscated 32 kilos of shabu with street value of P160 million inside the Mitsubishi Lancer (WFX 618) of Cai.
Meanwhile, Liu, Pelana and Navarro were busted in a separate drug sting at around 8 a.m. along Roxas Boulevard service road.
Police said the three suspects were inside a Toyota Vios (YS 1033) when they were apprehended. The arrest yielded 10 kilos of shabu worth P50 million.
The confiscated illegal drugs were sent to the PNP Crime Laboratory while the four suspects were brought to the SPD Headquarters in Taguig City.
Police are now readying appropriate charges related to violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) against the arrested persons. (MJD)
