40 chorale groups make it to MBC’s 2017 National Chorale Competition

More than 40 chorale groups will be singing it out in the semifinals night of the 2017 Manila Broadcasting National Choral Competition, slated on December 5 at the Aliw Theater.

The groups that made it to the semi-finals include: Bitik Children’s Choir, Jr. SPCP Chorale, Himig ni Juan, Boscorale, UE Chorale, FEU Chorale, Letran Singing Ambassadors, Coro Obcento, St Paul College Pasig High School Glee Club, ICP Charismatic Chorale, Kawit Singing Ambassadors, Manresa Grade School Glee Club, Pasig Catholic College Children’s Choir, Araullo High School, Bacarra Young Voices, St. Scholastica’s Academy Marikina, Coro Regina Coeli, RD Choral Ensemble, Earist Amang-awit, Adamson University Chorale, Bulacan Master Chorale, Coro di Congregatio Immaculati Cordis Mariae, Ligao National Children’s Chorus, Ateneo de Iloilo Treble Chorus, SNNHS Serenata Chorale, Corpus Christi Children’s Choir, Oratory Boys Choir, Tarlac Chamber Choir, Musica Paulinus, The Chorus Class, Wesleyan Chamber Singers, PUP Bagong Himig Serenata, Avant-Garde Singers, Himig Cauayeño, Pavia National High School, Tarlac National High School SPA Music Chorale, Iloilo City National High School Youth Choir, South Cotabato Chorale, Kinaadman Chorale, Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-South La Union, Koro Dabawenyo, Quezon Science Madrigal Virtuosos, Rizal Tech University Himig Rizalia, and Nueva Ecija Singing Ambassadors.

The said chorale groups will be singing at least three songs in the semifinals night which will cover  Nangangaroling, for the Children’s Division, and Ilang Tulog Pa Ba, for the Open Category.

The champions of the Children’s Division will go home with Php 100,000 while the champions of the Open Category will bring home Php 150,000.
