A four-year-old boy reportedly stabbed to death by his own uncle in Tondo, Manila on Tuesday, July 30.
According to reports, the boy sustained almost 11 stab wounds in different parts of his body such as chest, arms, and stomach. The suspect identified as Edmundo Perucho, which happens to be the brother of the victim’s father, died shortly after he allegedly resisted arrest with the police.
Perucho is said to be part of the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) drug watch list.
However, upon the suspect’s arrest, police said that Perucho asked permission to use the comfort room. He was then accompanied by a police officer when the suspect suddenly grabbed the officer’s service firearm and tried to escape.
That’s when authorities reportedly shot him. He was immediately brought to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
